Thai passenger dies after fall at Nội Bài Int'l Airport

The incident occurred around 1:25pm on April 4 near an elevator at the T2 terminal. The passenger reportedly displayed 'abnormal signs'.

HÀ NỘI — Nội Bài International Airport authorities in Hà Nội on Tuesday confirmed that a 43-year-old Thai passenger has died after climbing on the railing of the airport's third floor and jumping to the ground floor.

The incident occurred around 1:25pm on April 4 near an elevator on the third floor of the T2 terminal. The passenger reportedly displayed 'abnormal signs' before the incident.

Immediately following the fall, the passenger was transferred for emergency medical treatment at Bắc Thăng Long Hospital but he was reported to have died before reaching the hospital.

The airport's police are investigating the incident. — VNS
