The organisers will present awards for the best Tết (Lunar New Year) magazine cover photo, the best news website design, and the best TV and radio programmes, along with an award for organisations and individuals with outstanding activities at the festival.

There will be a series of sidelines events like seminars, workshops, exhibitions, a singing contest, a football tournament and art performances.

Lợi stressed that the festival would celebrate great achievements the country has recorded in reforms, highlight contributions and the strong development of Việt Nam’s revolutionary press, and promote press works.

It was also intended to enhance the exchange between journalists and readers, and honour contributions by individuals, organisations and businesses to Việt Nam’s revolutionary press, he added. — VNS
