HÀ NỘI — The Civil Aviation Administration of Việt Nam (CAAV) has proposed the people's committees of Thanh Hóa, Nghệ An and Quảng Bình provinces increase the number of buses and their operating hours, especially at night, to serve passengers on night flights during Tết.

CAAV Director General Đinh Việt Thắng signed a document on Tuesday, requesting the coordination of localities to serve travellers.

In addition, CAAV asked other transport service providers at the airport, such as taxis and ride-hailing cars, to increase their operating time and the number of vehicles.

The people's committees of the three provinces were also requested to direct local inspection agencies and police to coordinate with the airport authorities on inspecting and supervising security and order at the airports, as well as to promptly handle groups or individuals suspected of using unlicensed cars and illegal raising fares. — VNS
