HCM CITY --- The National Radio Festival 2022 concluded on Saturday evening, with more than 100 outstanding broadcasters and their work honoured at the closing ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the Municipal Theatre of HCM City by the Voice of Việt Nam (VOV) in collaboration with the city's Municipal Administration and the Voice of HCM City (VOH).
VOV president Đỗ Tiến Sỹ said the event was a great success which left a deep impression on organisers, jury and audiences.
The festival’s theme “Flexible transformation - beyond adaptation” highlights the rapid development of science and technology which is forcing radio broadcasters to shift their content and delivery methods toward digital transformation.
In the wake of the strong development of social networks, broadcasters are changing their approach and becoming more interactive to get closer to audiences.
This year, about 500 pieces of media registered to compete for prizes at the ceremony. The jury panel selected 203 for the final round.
Nominees competed in six categories including reportage, editorial, talk shows, radio stories, audio plays and live shows.
At the ceremony, the organizing board honoured one special prize, 28 gold prizes, 58 silver prizes, 71 bronze prizes and many other consolation prizes.
A live programme named Between Life and Death produced by the Communication Department won the special prize.
This is the first time such a prize was presented at the National Radio Festival.
The National Radio Festival is held every two years and the next one will be held in the north-central province of Thanh Hóa in 2024. VNS
