Nearly 800 university students and members of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union opened the 2022 Mùa Hè Xanh (Green Summer) Campaign on June 28 in HCM City. 

The SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant BA.5 has been detected in Việt Nam and may overwhelm the variant BA.2 which is dominant in the country, according to Prof. Dr. Phan Trọng Lân, Director of the Health Ministry’s Department of Preventive Medicine.
