657 new COVID-19 infections reported on Saturday

Việt Nam registered 657 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, with zero deaths recorded.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam registered 657 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, with zero deaths recorded.

All of the infections were domestic, with a total of 512 new transmissions detected in the community.

New cases were detected in Hà Nội (169), Bắc Ninh (53), Phú Thọ (45), Yên Bái (43), Lào Cai (34), HCM City (27), Quảng Ninh (22), Quảng Bình (21), Nghệ An (21), Hải Phòng (18), Vĩnh Phúc (17), Đà Nẵng (15), Hòa Bình (15), Hà Nam (14), Thái Nguyên (13), Ninh Bình (12), Cao Bằng (12), Thái Bình (12), Hưng Yên (11), Thanh Hóa (9), Quảng Trị (9), Tuyên Quang (9), Nam Định (8), Hải Dương (7), Lâm Đồng (7), Điện Biên (6), Sơn La (5), Lai Châu (5), Khánh Hòa (5), Tây Ninh (3), Vĩnh Long (3), Bình Định (2), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (2), Bình Phước (1), Lạng Sơn (1) and Đồng Tháp (1).

The latest update brings the national caseload to 10,742,891 to date.

The total number of COVID-19 fatalities in the country remains at 43,084, accounting for 0.4 per cent of all cases.

A further 5,239 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 9,642,514.

More than 229.2 million shots of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the country to date, of which over 7.2 million have been given to children aged 5 to 11. — VNS
