Việt Nam records 710 new COVID cases

The Ministry of Health on Saturday confirmed 710 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total caseload to 10,731,244.

HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Health on Saturday confirmed 710 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total caseload to 10,731,244.

The 45 localities that recorded COVID-19 transmissions were Hà Nội (176), Yên Bái (60), Nghệ An (53), Phú Thọ (47), Lào Cai (31), Quảng Ninh (27), Hồ Chí Minh City (22), Tuyên Quang (22), Thái Bình (22), Sơn La (21), Thái Nguyên (21), Nam Định (18), Quảng Bình (17), Vĩnh Phúc (16), Hưng Yên (16), Bắc Kạn (14), Hòa Bình (13), Lâm Đồng (12), Hà Nam (11), Cao Bằng (10), Lạng Sơn (9), Hải Dương (9), Hà Giang (8 ), Ninh Bình (8 ), Bắc Giang (7), Hải Phòng (7), Bến Tre (5), Thanh Hóa (5), Quảng Trị (4), Điện Biên (4), Lai Châu (4), Bình Định (2), Đà Nẵng (2), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (2), Bình Thuận (1), Bình Phước (1), Đồng Nai (1), Đồng Tháp (1) and Hậu Giang (1).

Bến Tre recorded an additional 853 cases after review.

One death was also reported in Tây Ninh Province.

The total number of COVID-related fatalities in the country has now reached 43,083, accounting for 0.4 per cent of the total number of infections.

7,321 patients were announced to have fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 9,547,919.
