HCM CITY – HCM City has temporarily suspended the need for health declaration to enter public facilities, which has been in place since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic more than two years ago.
The People’s Committee has instructed local authorities to notify office buildings, restaurants and hospitals about the lifting of the requirement.
But health facilities still need to be prepared to admit COVID patients and ensure visitors follow all pandemic prevention guidelines.
The Ministry of Health earlier instructed provinces and cities to scrap the need for medical declaration at all border gates from April 30 after reports of long lines due to the need for officials to examine the medical forms.
The form contained basic personal information, travel history over the past 14 days, potential exposure to people with suspected COVID symptoms, and vaccination status.
According to the ministry, COVID is well under control in the country, with caseloads and fatalities down significantly. – VNS
