There were 34,140 new COVID-19 infections recorded across Việt Nam on Saturday.

HÀ NỘI — There were 34,140 new COVID-19 cases recorded across Việt Nam on Saturday. The new infections bring the country's tally to 10,169,929, the Ministry of Health reported.

Hà Nội again topped the country in terms of new daily transmissions, with 2,202. 

The other new cases were reported in Bắc Giang (1,956), Nghệ An (1,656), Phú Thọ (1,652), Yên Bái (1,608), Lào Cai (1,544), Đắk Lắk (1,210), Bắc Kạn (1,118), Quảng Ninh (1,097), Quảng Bình (1,037), Lạng Sơn (990), Tuyên Quang (959), Vĩnh Phúc (954), Thái Bình (931), Hải Dương (820), Thái Nguyên (793), Bắc Ninh (720), Cao Bằng (708), HCM City (636), Lâm Đồng (601), Hà Giang (589), Hưng Yên (538), Sơn La (520), Bình Dương (489), Hà Nam (456), Lai Châu (454), Vĩnh Long (450), Hà Tĩnh (445), Bình Định (430), Nam Định (410), Quảng Trị (408), Gia Lai (395), Hòa Bình (383), Ninh Bình (359), Bình Phước (356), Đắk Nông (348), Tây Ninh (332), Quảng Ngãi (322), Điện Biên (309), Bến Tre (283), Đà Nẵng (281), Cà Mau (278), Thừa Thiên Huế (251), Quảng Nam (251), Phú Yên (236), Thanh Hóa (226), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (197), Hải Phòng (132), Khánh Hòa (119), Kiên Giang (116), Long An (94), Bình Thuận (90), An Giang (88), Trà Vinh (87), Bạc Liêu (67), Ninh Thuận (36), Kon Tum (27), Sóc Trăng (23), Cần Thơ (22), Đồng Nai (21), Đồng Tháp (15), Hậu Giang (10) and Tiền Giang (3).

The country reported 26 COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 42,794.

41,857 patients were announced to have made a full recovery, putting the total number of recoveries at 8,497,532 since the pandemic began.
