ĐÀ NẴNG — ASK International from Japan, in cooperation with Đông Á University in Đà Nẵng, will publish two books on Japanese language learning for Vietnamese students in 2022 as part of an agreement on education and human resources training signed by the two partners in Japan last year.

It’s expected that two local publishing houses will issue 4,000 copies of the books to provide learning documents for Vietnamese learners in central Việt Nam later this year.

ASK International said Japanese language e-learning courses would be held for Vietnamese students to promote Japanese language vocational practice skills before working in Japan.

Another partner from Japan, the Graduate Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies (Jigyo Sozo), also inked an agreement on education, joint science studies, lecturer and student exchange programmes with Đà Nẵng City’s Đông Á University.

Three local partners – HCM City’s Technology University, Sơn Trà District’s People’s Committee and Đông Á University – also signed deals on scientific research, technology and application transfer, educational cooperation and publication.

The universities will focus on scientific research and technology transfer for applications in production at localities, exchanging educational programmes and experts in information technology, automobile engineering, healthcare, nursing, digital and basic science studies.

Researchers from Đông Á University will help build up a bamboo conservation park, a medicinal herbs plantation and honey-bee keeping farms in the Sơn Tràn peninsula, and a dried seafood processing base, boosting the protection of the endangered red-shanked douc langurs in Sơn Trà Nature Reserve.

Đông Á University also introduced the Journal of Science in English and Vietnamese as a forum for cooperation in science among domestic and international researchers.

The journal, published every quarter, has received dozens of scientific reports in social studies, medicine, medical care, hi-tech farming and engineering technology. VNS
