HÀ NỘI - The remainder of a batch of more than one million Pfizer-BioNTech doses donated to Việt Nam by the US through the COVAX Facility arrived in Hà Nội on Friday.
The 269,100 doses touched down at Nội Bài International Airport on Friday morning.
Along with the number of vaccines that were delivered to HCM City and Hà Nội in the last two days, the delivery process of 1,065,870 Pfizer doses from the US has been completed.
The vaccines are being stored at the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
The United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Việt Nam is facilitating the vaccines’ delivery and storage.
Previously, the US donated five million doses of Moderna vaccines to Việt Nam via the COVAX Facility.
More than 18.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered as of Thursday.
The country has received about 26 million COVID-19 doses from different sources as of Friday morning, according to the Ministry of Health. VNS
