HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc has said the Government, ministries, sectors and localities of Việt Nam are always willing to talk with investors from the Republic of Korea (RoK) to receive their feedback and provide optimal conditions for their operations.

Meeting the RoK Ambassador to Việt Nam Kim Do-hyun in Hà Nội yesterday, the PM said the Việt Nam-RoK partnership is developing in all fields, especially in economics, trade and investment, education and training and security and defence.

Lauding the contributions of the ambassador towards partnership, the PM expressed his hope that in the future, Kim will continue helping to connect Korean enterprises with Vietnamese peers.

Ambassador Kim said the development potential of Việt Nam remains huge thanks to the Vietnamese Government’s efforts to promote socio-economic development.

The diplomat said that RoK businesses, including leading groups such as Samsung, are interested in expanding their investments and operations in Việt Nam, especially in hi-tech electronics and developing infrastructure.

Many RoK enterprises are looking to invest further in the central region of Việt Nam where the development potential is high, he said.

Kim also told his host that the RoK, with its high demand for skilled workers in healthcare and care for the elderly, hopes to co-operate with Việt Nam in these fields.

The ambassador also expressed his hope that Việt Nam will successfully host the second summit between the US and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in Hà Nội, describing Việt Nam’s decision to host as a practical and responsible contribution to the international community and to the promotion of world peace. — VNS
