HÀ NỘI — Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Organisation Commission Phạm Minh Chính welcomed Zhao Leji, member of the Standing Board of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s Central Committee and Secretary of its Commission for Discipline Inspection, in Hà Nội on September 28.

Welcoming the Chinese guest, Chính said he believed that Zhao’s visit would contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and political trust, as well as the development of the Việt Nam-China comprehensive strategic co-operative partnership.

Zhao stated he was delighted to witness the achievements made in Việt Nam’s renewal and international integration cause.

He shared his belief that under the leadership of the CPV, Việt Nam would achieve all the targets and tasks set at the 12th National Party Congress.

Both sides agreed that Việt Nam and China needed to consolidate their time-honoured friendship, and step up people-to-people exchanges, especially between the younger generations.

After the meeting, they attended the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition on Việt Nam’s renewal and international integration achievements and China’s reform held at the Việt Nam-China Friendship Palace.

The event, jointly held by the Việt Nam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, is showcasing 100 photos featuring the achievements of Việt Nam’s 30-year renewal and international integration process and China’s 40-year reform. — VNS
