HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam expressed its condolences to the victims and families of the terror attacks in Germany and Switzerland and denounced the violence against innocent people, Lê Hải Bình, spokeman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said yesterday.

He was responding to a question about Việt Nam’s reaction to the deadly truck attack in Berlin on Monday night and a gun attack in Zurich, Switzerland on the same day.

Asked whether there were Vietnamese victims in the German attack, Bình said there had not been any information on Vietnamese being affected. The Vietnamese Embassy in Germany had set up a hotline to receive information and assist Vietnamese victims if there are any, he added. — VNS
