ĐÀ NẴNG — The Bà Nà Hills Mountain Resort hosted its 2 millionth visitor on Saturday.
Nguyễn Hoàng Bích Dung, a tourist from HCM City, was honoured at the resort on her fourth visit there.Vietnamese Nguyễn Thị Diệp, also from HCM City, became the 2,000,001st tourist.
Deputy general director of Sun Group and Bà Nà Hills Cable Car company, Đỗ Thị Tuyết Hạnh, said it’s a great celebration and a new milestone for the mountain resort in the Trường Sơn Mountains west of the city of Đà Nẵng.
The resort, situated 1,4700m above sea level, was founded in 1919 by French colonists as a hill station. A cable car opened in 2013, holds the world record for longest non-stop single track cable car at 5801 metres in length
The resort also debuted three new restaurants and a new gate, and held a series of performances including street music, magic and dancing by European artists. — VNS
