Thousands of representatives from tourism management agencies and enterprises gathered in the northern province of Ninh Bình on Thursday and Friday to discuss ways to promote domestic tourism.

The seventh Japan – Việt Nam Festival will be held on April 17 and 18 at the September 23 Park in HCM City’s District 1.

 Although affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnamese music market has been able to make changes in recent months, adding major music shows, quality products and many new faces with bold musical personalities.

Thanh is among of group of 150 people taking part in the first ‘self-driving’ holiday hosted by Hà Nội Travel Agents’ Association and VGreen Sustainable Tourism Club along with the National Museum of Vietnamese History.

With the Government’s effective pandemic containment measures and initiatives to stimulate domestic tourism demand, sentiment towards travel is recovering.

While domestic travel has kept tourism buoyant amid the pandemic, the industry has barely survived without foreign tourists. Experts have recommended that it reinvent itself while waiting for global travel to resume. Bồ Xuân Hiệp reports.

The National Forum on Domestic Tourism 2021 hosted by the Việt Nam Tourism Association (VITA), Ninh Bình Province’s Tourism Department and other agencies opens on April 15  in the northern province of Ninh Bình, gathering some 500 participants including representatives from the culture ministry, tourism management agencies and leading tourism firms.

The Tày ethnic group in Văn Bàn District, in the northern province of Lào Cai, are renowned for their black sticky cake – a popular dish and an indispensable custom for festive events.

A series of Vietnamese films, including contemporary short films, animations, and documentaries are being screened in HCM City from April 11 to 18 under the Like the Moon in a Night Sky 2021 project.

Sausage salad is a popular snack among HCM City locals, especially young people.

Thiên Thần Hộ Mệnh (The Guardian), a production by Vietnamese-American director Victor Vũ, will be distributed in cinemas in 12 countries after its premiere in Việt Nam on April 30. 

Travel agencies in the Central region are creating new tourism products in preparation for the upcoming holidays on April 30 and May 1.

The Soldier's Tale, a theatre production by director Marcelino Valiente will debut at the French Cultural Centre (L'espace) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relationships between Việt Nam and Switzerland.
