An electronic dance music festival “Land of Dreams” on July 14 and 15 will feature DJs and music producers from the US, Europe and Asia.

The Jagabams will treat audiences to African rhythms and dancing at Hanoi Rock City on June 7 night.

This afternoon (July 6), from 5-7pm, the Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (VCCA) will host an artist talk about the historical and spiritual symbols in Hà Mạnh Thắng’s Circle of Time painting series.

The Centre for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents (TPD) will present a screening of the classic rom-com Some Like It Hot.

Sài Gòn 3 mét vuông (Sài Gòn in Three Metre Square), a painting exhibition on old Sài Gòn, will be held at Blanc Artspace from July 7-9.

The annual “Feel Japan in Vietnam” festival will open at Gem Center on July 15 and 16.

When last rays of late afternoon fell on Hội An, lanterns are about to glitter all over the old town and a free Japanese class is open in the ancient house at 39 Nguyễn Thái Học street. On 5pm sharp, local children arrive the class, obviously eager for their lesson. The class focuses mostly on Japanese language, culture and customs and have been offered for local kids for almost a year, for free.

Tomorrow night, Heritage Space will present Hidden Beat – Vol 1 featuring the Hanoing Jazz Band – a multinational band that consists of 18 musicians whose performances are reminiscent of the big band days.
