HÀ NỘI — A film screening programme will kick off on December 19, featuring seven films which have been granted international awards.

Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Việt Nam (TECO) and the Việt Nam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS) co-operated to host the event to feature contemporary life in Taiwan and strengthen the cultural exchange between Taiwanese and Vietnamese cinema industries.

The films are varied in genres including sports, family, society and comedy.

The film screenings will take place on December 19-27 at the Hà Nội Arts College, the National Cinema Centre and the Centre for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents (TPD), Hà Nội. Free tickets can be collected at the TECO and the National Cinema Centre. More details are available at the Fanpage Taiwan in Vietnam.

The films to be screened include We Are Champions (2019), Cloudy (2017), Murmur of the Hearts (2015), Missing Johnny (2017), Hang in there, Kids! (2016) and The Gangs, The Oscars and The Walking Dead (2019).

As an effort to pay tribute to tourists from Việt Nam and promote Taiwanese tourism, HCM City-based Taiwan Tourism Bureau offer free virtual tours on December 19 bringing tourists to Beitou Hot Spring, December 30 to discover Taipei centre at night and January 30 to contemplate Taipei Old Quarter.

Tour guides will livestream the beauty spots to help tourists have a glimpse of these destinations with an expectation that more tourists would come after the pandemic. Each tour will last one hour and attendees need to register in advance. — VNS
