Hà Nội's fine arts exhibition opens

The Graphics, Sculpture and Applied Fine Arts Exhibition has opened in Hà Nội with more than 100 pieces on show. The works comprise of 61 graphics designs, 40 sculptures and 20 practical fine art pieces by established and emerging artists.

HÀ NỘI — The Graphics, Sculpture and Applied Fine Arts Exhibition has opened in Hà Nội with more than 100 pieces on show.

The works comprise of 61 graphics designs, 40 sculptures and 20 practical fine art pieces by established and emerging artists.

The work of veteran artists Tô Chiêm, Phạm Đình Bình and Khổng Đỗ Tuyền are on display at the exhibition.

Other artists including Nguyễn Mạnh Cường; Chu Minh Quân; and Nguyễn Thùy Dương will display their work as well.

The compositions in the exhibition follow the problems of life, especially in Hà Nội city to convey positive messages, according to artist Lương Xuân Đoàn, deputy-chairman of the association.

This is the 24th exhibition to be held by the association in Hà Nội. The annual event is a chance for artists from the three sectors to introduce their new work.

The exhibition’s winners will be considered for the association’s award and Việt Nam Literature and Art Associations Union.

The exhibition is held to mark the 74th August Revolution anniversary and National Day on September 2. It runs until August 21 at 16 Ngô Quyền Exhibition House.  — VNS
