HCM CITY — The first exhibition of equipment used by Vietnamese sports champions opened on Friday (May 31) on HCM City’s Nguyễn Huệ Street.
The items on display at “Old and worn-out things – Untold stories” are shoes worn by football star Lê Công Vinh, a football used by Đoàn Văn Hậu, a current U23 player, a faded belt worn by Châu Tuyết Vân, the "Golden Girl" of Taekwondo, a tennis racket used by Lý Hoàng Nam, a winner of international tournaments, and a threadbare basketball used by of Stefan Nguyễn, a Vietnamese-Swedish professional.
The exhibition skilfully leads visitors to the stories behind the old items, most of which involve dollops of passion and practice.
Initiated by Nestlé Milo, the exhibition aims to inspire children to achieve their dreams of becoming champions.
The three-day event is attracting thousands of people and their children.
