HÀ NỘI — The third annual artful music show with songs praising the country, spring, Uncle Hồ and the Party will be held on January 5 at the Hà Nội Opera House.

Vang Mãi Giai Điệu Tổ Quốc (Melodies on Fatherland Echo Forever), hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tổ Quốc (National Times) online newspaper, the Performing Arts Department and the Việt Nam Music and Dance Theatre, was held in spring 2017 and 2018, gathering the country’s leading music stars.

As the first political art show of the year, it covered the most distinguished songs on the country and Party and left good impressions among the audience. This year, the show’s theme is President Hồ Chí Minh. It will celebrate the 50 years Vietnamese people implementing the leader’s will after his death.

The show will once again gather big names including People’s Artists Thái Bảo and Quang Thọ, meritorious artists Đăng Dương, Việt Hoàn and Phương Thảo, young singers Bùi Lê Mận and Lan Anh and best-selling entertainers Hồ Ngọc Hà, Tùng Dương and Hồ Quỳnh Hương.

According to the organisers, the show will be staged in a modern style with careful details for each performance.

The show will be broadcast live on VTV1 and online at toquoc.vn at 8pm on January 5.

Young singer Tùng Dương, who has joined various best-selling music shows, will sing Bác Hồ Một Tình Yêu Bao La (Uncle Hồ - An Immense Love) by composer Thuận Yến.

“This show is extremely artful,” Dương said. “Performing Việt Nam’s best contemporary music at the Hà Nội Opera House at the beginning of the new year bears a holy meaning. Singing about Uncle Hồ always stirs up the most beautiful and holy feelings deep inside me.”

“Each person has a mission throughout life,” he said. “As a singer, I send my voice to entertain the audience as a gift for the new year.”

People’s Artist Quang Thọ, who has worked as a singer for 50 years, said: “I’m proud to join the show this year. This is a meaningful and entertaining show with the most influential artists performing the best songs praising the country and people.” — VNS
