HCM CITY — Australian travel website Finder (finder.com.au) has chosen the central city of Đà Nẵng as one of the best travel destinations in 2019.
The premier city in central Việt Nam is ranked sixth among the top destinations and trends in the world for next year.
Đà Nẵng has a beautiful beach and is only an hour’s drive from Hội An. Split your time between both cities by taking the fastest route by taxi, at an affordable VNĐ300,000 (US$14) for one way.
Hội An is also ranked 14th in the world for expatriates to live in, according to The Travel website (travel.gc.ca), thanks to the town’s “cheap cost of living”.
The Canadian travel site said that Hội An is the best destination for budget-conscious foreigners who want to settle down in Việt Nam, with monthly living costs around US$1,000.
Đà Nẵng has been increasingly catching the eye of foreign travel guides and magazines.
In the first 10 months of the year, Đà Nẵng received 6.83 million visitors, up 22 per cent over the same period last year, according to the city’s tourism department.
More than 2.5 million were foreign arrivals, up 31 per cent.
From HCM City to Đà Nẵng, visitors can travel by bus, train and airplane. The bus costs VNĐ400,000 ($18), but it will take around 20 hours. — VNS
