HÀ NỘI — Get your dancing shoes and eco-friendly glitter ready, because Quest Festival is back this weekend.

The three-day festival will bring music, arts and workshops to Vietnamese and expat youths in Sơn Tinh Camp, in Đồng Mô, west central of Hà Nội.

The event runs from 12pm Friday to Sunday, featuring hundreds of international artists, including vocal and dance-reggae-dub-jungle MC Eva Lazarus.

"This will be my first time in Việt Nam. I’m so excited, I can’t wait," said Lazarus. "I’m looking forward to sharing my music in such a beautiful setting, plus I always find it interesting to see what type of energy different festivals can give. I’ve watched a few videos, it looks great but I can’t wait to experience it for myself."

Lazarus has played UK festivals like Glastonbury and Boomtown and with her reputation for live shows, Quest should be treated to one hell of a performance.

The festival is set against a backdrop of beautiful mountains and surrounded by a lake perfect for swimming in Sơn Tinh camp.

With six stages, the festival will deliver a wealth of different delights, from techno and house through to funk, soul, mental and reggae with music bands and artists from Việt Nam, Indonesia, India, the US, United Kingdom, France, Hong Kong, Japan and Denmark.

The organisers said at every corner at the festival artists have found ways to provide colour, texture, movement and sound to festival-goers. Their creations and installations tie all the elements of the festival together.

Workshops at the festival include Hà Nội Philosopohy Forum; East Meets West Calligraphy, Ukulele for Beginners, African Dance and many others.

Over the years, Quest Festival has been described as one of the most scenic festivals on Earth. Please go to ticketbox.vn for ticket information. — VNS
