HÀ NỘI — Nearly 40,000 books of various genres, including culture, education, politics, economics and literature, are available at the annual spring book fair hosted by the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.
The books are being offered at favourable prices starting from VNĐ2,000 (US$0.08), along with a sale promotion of up to 50 per cent, besides interesting gifts accompanying the books sold.
During the four-day fair, organisers will hand gifts worth VNĐ10 million (US$438) to the library at Thiên Phúc Pagoda in Quỳnh Phụ District, the northern province of Thái Bình.
Students can attend a talk on tips to hunt for government scholarships, which will be shared by writer Trần Ngọc Thịnh, best-seller author of the book titled Du Học Không Khó (Studying Overseas is not Dificult) at 9am, March 31.
Noted writer Nguyễn Thị Thu Huệ will discuss with the audience her short stories collection titled Của Để Dành (Reserved Property) at 3pm, March 31.
Various games and drawing activities are also being held at the site.
The fair will run until April 1 at 36 Lý Thường Kiệt, Hà Nội. — VNS
