HÀ NỘI — International artists will join the Artists in Residence programme from now to October 28 at the Flamingo Đại Lải Resort in the northern province of Vĩnh Phúc as art of the Art in the Forest project.

“I expect the project will attract more and more artists in the region and Flamingo Đại Lải Resort will become a great destination for art lovers,” Lương Xuân Đòan, vice chairman of the Việt Nam Fine Arts Association, said.

The project brings together 17 sculptors and painters from Spain, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Việt Nam, who will stay at the resort and create in studios built in the forest.

At the end of the month, the artists will open their studios and present their artworks to the public. Last year, some 6,000 visitors attended the opening day.

The project was launched for the first time in 2015 and has become an annual attraction.— VNS
