Travellers flock to Mũi Né and Đà Lạt to celebrate new year

The number of people visiting Mũi Né in Bình Thuận Province and Đà Lạt in Lâm Đồng Province rose sharply on the fourth day of the new lunar year (31 January 2017).

LÂM ĐỒNG — The number of people visiting Mũi Né in Bình Thuận Province and Đà Lạt in Lâm Đồng Province rose sharply on the fourth day of the new lunar year (January 31, 2017).

According to the Bình Thuận Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the January 27-31 period saw around 190,000 people visiting tourist sites and landscapes in the province’s Phan Thiết City, including Hài Cham Towers, Bãi Dương and Hòn Rơm (Rơm Islet) Beaches and the Hòng Hill in Mũi Né. Luxury resorts in Mui Né reported occupancy rates of around 90 per cent during these days.

The popular sites in Đà Lạt were the Prenn and Datanla waterfalls, Trúc Lâm Zen Monastery, Love Valley, and Lament Lake.

Trần Hoài Ân, head of the management board of Đà Lạt City’s Garden, said it received over 12,000 visitors in the first three days of Tết and an additional 6,000 on the fourth day of the new lunar year. — VNS
