HÀ NỘI — The last art auction of 2016 will take place on Christmas Eve at Hà Nội’s Apricot hotel on Hàng Trống Street.
Themed Christmas Reunion, the auction has been jointly organised by two auction houses, Lạc Việt Exhibition and Auction Centre and Vietnam Crocodile, and Gallery 39.
The works of art that will go up for auction are of high value, in terms of collection and investment, and includes paintings by renowned Vietnamese painters such as Bùi Xuân Phái’s (1920-1988) Gia Đình Họa Sĩ Dưới Hầm Trú Ẩn (Painter’s Family in Shelter), and 14th century bronze and pottery items. The origins and values of all the artworks have been verified by artist Lê Thiết Cương and other top Vietnamese antique experts.
