HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Folk Literature and Arts Association on Monday awarded the best research works of the year in the field.
Two first prizes were awarded, one to researcher Ngô Văn Doanh for his work titled “Đồng Dương Buddhist Academy – An Example of Chăm Pa Art” and the other to research group of Kiều Trung Sơn, Bùi Văn Thành, Nguyễn Tuệ Chi and Bùi Huy Vọng for their work on the art of singing and dance at a worship ceremony practiced by Shamans of the Mường ethnic group.
The jury also gave prizes to 75 other research works.
“This year, the association received 103 entries, many of them involving serious research and containing new discoveries,” Tô Ngọc Thanh, chairman of the association, said. — VNS
