VN-Thai literature talk to be held

A talk on Vietnamese and Thai literature will be held at HCM City’s Social Sciences and Humanities University on December 15.

HCM CITY — A talk on Vietnamese and Thai literature will be held at HCM City’s Social Sciences and Humanities University on December 15.

Vietnamese writer Nguyễn Nhật Ánh and Prof Montira Rato from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok will host the show. They will focus on translating Vietnamese literature into Thai and teaching them in Thai schools.

An international workshop on building strategic relationships will be held at the university the next day.

Prof Rato is a lecturer from Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. She has studied Vietnamese literature and has translated various pieces by Vietnamese writers including Cho Tôi Xin Một Vé Đi Tuổi Thơ (Give me a Ticket to Childhood) by Nguyễn Nhật Ánh.

The talk will be held between 8 and 11am, December 15 at the Social Sciences and Humanities University, Đinh Tiên Hoàng Street, District 1, HCM City. — VNS
