ĐÀ NẴNG — An open-air cultural performance will be held to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the city’s Liberation Day on March 29.
Pop singer Ánh Tuyến and artists and dancers from HCM City and Đà Nẵng will participate in a 150-minute night performance at Hàn River Port on Bạch Đằng Street.
It will feature songs about the nostalgia felt by overseas Vietnamese about their country and the day they return to their homeland with love and happiness after living away from home for a long time.
Several programmes are scheduled to be held in the city from March 18 to 29.
A photo exhibition about Đà Nẵng and its people will be on display at the city library in Bạch Đằng Street from March 18 to 25.
A fish-worshipping festival, tuồng classic drama, local folk performances, traditional boat race and coracle-waving will be held at Thọ Quang fishing village in Sơn Trà peninsula from March 23 to 25.
A one-night street music performance will take place on an outdoor stage in Bạch Đằng Street, near Hàn Market, on March 25.
A woodwind recital will be held in the park on west Rồng (Dragon) Bridge, accompanied by clarinet and trumpet players on March 27.
An exhibition of the best photos of Clipper World Yacht Race 2015-16, and a cultural introduction of the Cơ Tu ethnic group living in Đà Nẵng will be held at the city’s museum from March 25 to 29. — VNS
