HCM CITY — The 30 black-and-white photographs by Nguyễn Lâm Trâm Anh (aka Cassava), displayed at the Thiên Di photography exhibition at Noirfoto Gallery in HCM City, carry a message of cherishing every moment.
The exhibition is organised by Noirfoto as an award for Anh, who won the 'Promising Artist' award at Noirfotocontest 2025. Noirfotocontest is a non-profit, non-commercial community project founded in 2020 to foster sustainable artistic development in Việt Nam through photography.

Selected from thousands of photographs in her collection, these artworks feature slices of life from Trâm Anh's perspective.
The small-sized photographs are printed on wide white paper backgrounds, giving viewers the impression of pages torn directly from her personal diary.
Cassava said the exhibition's name, Thiên Di, means constant movement and can also be interpreted as impermanence.

For her, the exhibition's message is that as time passes, the only thing we can do is be fully present in every moment; and because time is finite, every present second becomes invaluable.
The exhibition runs until November 1. — OVN/VNS
