KON TUM — Vietnamese residents and expatriates aged 18 and above who are living and working across Việt Nam are encouraged to participate in a video contest to promote tourism of the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum.

The contest, with the theme “Amazing Kon Tum”, is organised by the province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to introduce the landscapes, people, and culture of the Central Highlands to local and international visitors.

“The contest is part of a project to turn Kon Tum into the must-visit destination of the Central Highlands,” Nguyễn Văn Bình, director of the department, said.

He expected the contest would be popular among people and expatriates in Việt Nam, so the province will have beautiful videos on its land, people and culture that can contribute to publicising the province,

The videos should highlight the beauty of the province’s nature landscapes, and their history, culture, lifestyle, cuisine, handicrafts and destinations.

The length of the videos should be between three minutes and five minutes. The voiceovers can be in Vietnamese or English with Vietnamese subtitles.

Contestants, who can be an individual or a group, must upload their videos to Google Drive through email trungtamttxtdulichkt@gmail.com by October 25.

All videos will be uploaded on the Facebook page “Kon Tum Travel” at https://www.facebook.com/kontumtourism.com.vn/ from November 7-20 for voting.

The organisers will give seven prizes to the best videos based on content, quality, and likes on social media.

The awards ceremony will be held on December 9, while winning videos will be used to promote the tourism of Kon Tum.
