HÀ NỘI - A new weekly game show featuring students will begin on Việt Nam National Television (VTV) on August 31. 

The show, called Sinh Viên Thế Hệ Mới (Students of New Generation), is a competition for Vietnamese university students to develop creative thinking.

"We believe that New Generation of Student will not only be an exciting show for students but also will be a bridge between generations," said Tạ Bích Loan, Director of VTV's Channel 3 at the press conference at VTV headquarters in Hà Nội. 

"Young talented students will have the opportunity to learn from the valuable experiences of senior generations who will engage during the competitions."

Students will learn and engage in various real-world challenges to hone the skills needed for their future careers, such as creativity, leadership, presentation and teamwork.

It has five rounds designed on the elements of the project formation and development cycle. 

In addition, teams will also develop practical experiences working on community-oriented topics and social issues of high interest.

Judges are professor Lê Anh Vinh, reactor of Việt Nam National Institute of Educational Sciences; Trần Xuân Bách, deputy chairman of Việt Nam Youth Federation Central Committees; artist Trần Ly Ly, head of the Department of Performing Art and film director Nguyễn Quang Dũng. 

Khánh Vy and Quang Bảo will be host the show. Both were excellent students at their university and have a positive influence on young people in the community. 

The 12 selected schools competing include the International School from Việt Nam National University, Hà Nội University of Science and Technology in the north and HCM City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, HCM City University of Economics and Finance and HCMC University of Education. 

The show Students of New Generation is produced by VTV3 in conjunction with Ministry of Education and Training and Việt Nam Youth Federation Central Committees with sponsor Herbalife Việt Nam. 
It will be aired at 8.30pm on VTV3 every Thursday. - VNS
