Here are a number of interesting things to do in Quảng Ninh this month.

 Celebrate Christmas in Legacy Yên Tử

Quảng Ninh waives tickets to Hạ Long Bay and Yên Tử 

Visitors to Hạ Long Bay and Yên Tử scenic spot continue to enjoy free tickets from now until the end of 2021, as well as subsidised return bus fares between Vân Đồn Airport and Dốc Đỏ, Uông Bí City.

Local tourism and travel businesses are preparing the conditions to resume operations as soon as possible and developing programmes to promote safe tourism.

This programme is part of the tourism stimulus package worth VNĐ500 billion for Quảng Ninh. With such attractive offers Quảng Ninh and wider Việt Nam is set to recover quickly, contributing to the economy to help the country overcome its immediate difficulties.

Literature and Arts Association organise weekly concert series

A concert series will be co-held weekly by Hạ Long City Association of Literature and Arts and the Association of Music to introduce new music and poetry works at 90 Lê Thánh Tông Road in Hạ Long City.

This is a cultural activity to encourage artists to create and perform art works about Hạ Long and Quảng Ninh.  

The first concert was held on November 26 with performance by Hạ Long Xanh Band, introducing new songs by musician Trần Toàn. The concert was participated in by provincial popular artists such as musician Lê Đăng Vệ and poet Trần Nhật Minh. 

Young artists will be honoured at the concert series by showing their national pride through music and poetry. The concert series is among a series of cultural activities aimed at boosting people's spirit during the pandemic. 

Photo contest shows natural wonder and people of Ba Chẽ 

A photo contest is being held for professional and amateur photographers to capture the beauty of the natural landscape, ethnic cultural identity and people in Ba Chẽ District in Quảng Ninh. 

Each entrant can submit a single photo or a group of five to eight photos with informative captions to the contest via email to phongvhtt.bache.quangninh@gmail.com or by post to 354 Hải Chi Road, Ba Chẽ Town, Quảng Ninh. 

All entries should be taken between January 2019 and December 15 and are not permitted to be photo-shopped. The award ceremony will be held in February 2022.

About 65km away from Hạ Long City, Ba Chẽ is a mountainous district in the north of Quảng Ninh. The inhabitants are from six ethnic groups: Dao, Kinh, Tày, Sán Dìu, Hoa, and Nùng. 

Six kilometres away from the town, Chúc Waterfall is a marvellous work of nature, which attracts many visitors. In addition, Ba Chẽ forest is also a beautiful tourism site.

Binh Lieu Flower Festival 2021

The Bình Liêu flower festival 2021 will take place over two days from December 18-19 at the forest of Đồng Long Village, Đồng Tâm Commune.

The Flower Festival is one of the events within the framework of Bình Liêu Culture and Tourism Week taking place from November 13 to the end of December.

This is also an annual programme that has been maintained since 2015, in order to introduce the beauty of natural landscapes and traditional culture of ethnic groups in the district, thereby attracting investors and travel businesses to exploit the local tourism potential, affirming the unique imprint of Binh Liêu tourism on the domestic and international tourism map.

The festival will have activities including cultural performances; tourist trips to visit the forest; a bicycle parade named "Discovering the sacred and majestic Binh Lieu border"; a photo exhibition; and a fair of OCOP products in Quảng Ninh.

In order to ensure that the Flower Festival takes place safely, Bình Liêu District applies prevention and control measurements at all levels; setting up a traffic control point and preventing the COVID-19 pandemic; monitoring people coming and going via QR code; and advising people to follow the 5K rule. - VNS
