Pollution in Xuân Đài Bay to be treated

PHÚ YÊN — A project to clean up Xuân Đài Bay will be officially launched this month, according to the Phú Yên People’s Committee.

The project will receive technical support and equipment and manpower from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

It will be conducted by the Daiei Factory Co Ltd.

In a meeting with the provincial People’s Committee on Tuesday, JICA said that different surveys would be conducted in the area.

The surveys will focus on the application of pollution treatment equipment. The equipment, supplied by the Daiei Factory Co Ltd, will supplement oxygen and clean the area.

Vice Chairman of the Phú Yên People’s Committee Trần Hữu Thế asked Sông Cầu Town, the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to cooperate with JICA on the project. — VNS
