Sacombank JCB cards continue to lead market

Sacombank won four awards from Japanese international card organisation JCB for Leading Licensee in Total Retail Spending Volume, Leading Licensee in New Credit Card Acquisition, Leading Licensee in Cardmember Case, and Leading Licensee in Merchant Sales Growth at the 2020 JCB Annual Meeting chains held recently.

HCM CITY — Sacombank won four awards from Japanese international card organisation JCB for Leading Licensee in Total Retail Spending Volume, Leading Licensee in New Credit Card Acquisition, Leading Licensee in Cardmember Case, and Leading Licensee in Merchant Sales Growth at the 2020 JCB Annual Meeting chains held recently.

Sacombank is the only lender to receive these four prestigious awards in 2020.

It was the fourth consecutive year the bank won major awards, indicating its leading position in issuance of JCB cards.

Payments through Sacombank JCB cards recorded growth of 163 per cent over the same period last year.

Earlier Sacombank became the first bank in the world to sign a deal for QR code payment with JCB.

Sacombank has launched many promotions to encourage customers to make payments using the card. They include Hunting Best Deal to Travel to Japan with Sacombank JCB and Buy Now with Sacombank JCB Card with total prizes worth VNĐ1.4 billion (US$60,438), and Open JCB Cards and Receive Gifts with prizes of more than VNĐ1.3 billion ($56,121).  — VNS
