Kiên Giang construction firm debuts on HoSE

HCM CITY – Kiên Giang Construction Investment Consultancy Group on Wednesday listed 50 million shares on the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE).

The company has been listed as CKG and its shares debuted at VNĐ11,000 (US$0.47) apiece. The company's shares tumbled 20 per cent to finish Wednesday at VNĐ8,800.

Its shares ended flat on Thursday.

The company was founded in 1992 and was equitised in 2006 with registered charter capital of VNĐ45 billion.

Current charter capital is VNĐ500 billion.

The firm’s main businesses are construction, real estate trading and financial investment.

According to chairman Trần Thọ Thắng, the listing proved the company had achieved breakthroughs in operation and administration.

The company's total net revenue increased to VNĐ850 billion in 2018 from VNĐ795 billion in 2017.

Post-tax profit in these two years hit VNĐ60 billion and VNĐ89 billion, respectively.

In the first nine months of 2019, total net revenue was VNĐ910 billion and post-tax profit was VNĐ97 billion. – VNS
