HCM CITY — Dozens of enterprises from HCM City and South Korea’s Daegu City on Wednesday sought investment opportunities at the Daegu Medical Tourism Roadshow in HCM City.
A delegation from Daegu City, including city authorities and directors of hospitals as well as tourism and healthcare officials, took part in the show.
The roadshow aimed to connect the business communities of Vietnamese and South Korean companies in HCM City.
At the roadshow, authorities of Daegu and HCM City provided an overview of the trade, healthcare and tourism sectors of the two cities.
Companies exchanged experiences and current needs in medical tourism in HCM City and neighbouring provinces.
Multiple investment incentives to attract foreign investors from two cities were also provided. In addition, Medicity Daegu introduced their prestigious healthcare centres to HCM City companies.
During the roadshow, a number of MoUs were signed.
A representative from HCM City said the visit from Deagu’s delegation would enhance relations between the two cities in investment and trade.
On the occasion, Daegu leaders and the CDX company launched a community project entitled 5Love that will provide information about investment policies, products, hospitals, and training programmes to companies in South Korea and Việt Nam.
The two countries have had a good investment relationship for nearly 30 years. In HCM City, South Korea is the third biggest investor with total investment value of over VNĐ5 billion with 1,700 projects. Of the projects, 24 are in the healthcare sector with total investment value of $230 million. — VNS
