BÌNH ĐỊNH — Cát Hiệp Solar Power Plant on Monday became the first in the central province of Bình Định to link up with the national grid.
The 49.5 megawatt (MWp) plant in Cát Hiệp Commune, Phù Cát District, connected to the grid via a 5.5 km cable system, was built at a cost of VNĐ1.1 trillion (US$47.3 million) by Trường Thành Group and France’s Quadran International.
It is scheduled to begin commercial operation on June 6, producing 78,000-80,000 MWh of electricity annually. — VNS
