HCM CITY — Saigon Co-op, the country’s leading fast-moving consumer goods retailer on August 10 opened a new Co.opmart supermarket in Tây Ninh Province’s Gò Dầu town, the 98th Co.opmart store in the country and fourth in the province.

Located on National Highway 22B, Co.opmart Gò Dầu has a total business area of 4,000sq.m and an investment cost of more than VNĐ90 billion (US$3.86 million).

It stocks more than 30,000 items, including fresh and processed foods, cosmetics, clothes and household utensils, 90 per cent of which are high-quality Vietnamese products.

Like all other Co.opmart outlets, it sells price-stabilised goods and acts as a conduit for the province’s specialties and other products to enter the Co.opmart chain nationwide.

To mark its opening, the new outlet has launched promotion programmes until the end of the month, including discounts of up to 50 per cent on thousands of essential items and hundreds of attractive gifts to shoppers.

In addition, those customers with bills worth at least VNĐ300,000 can win attractive lucky-draw prizes like a Honda SHMode scooter, Samsung fridge and TV, stainless steel cookware sets and others. — VNS
