HÀ NỘI — As Việt Nam advances its agenda for green growth and sustainable development, Nestlé Việt Nam continues to reinforce its position as one of the country’s leading advocates of responsible business practices and private-sector collaboration.
At the 2025 Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) announcement ceremony, the company received the CSI Star award from the Việt Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), marking its fifth consecutive year in the Top 10 most sustainable enterprises in the manufacturing sector.
The year 2025 also marks a decade of the CSI Programme, which has expanded significantly in scale and quality to become one of the country’s most reputable platforms for promoting sustainable business development.
Speaking at the event, VCCI Chairman Hồ Sỹ Hùng underlined efforts to turn CSI into an ecosystem that fuels national sustainability transformation, saying the index is no longer just a recognition tool but a catalyst that helps businesses collectively shape Việt Nam’s green economic future.
He noted that the introduction of the first-ever CSI version tailored for micro and small enterprises alongside the existing version for medium and large companies aims to broaden participation in sustainability initiatives across the business community, which is predominantly composed of smaller firms.

In his capacity as Co-Chair of the Việt Nam Business Council for Sustainable Development, Binu Jacob, Managing Director of Nestlé Việt Nam, reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to Việt Nam’s development priorities.
“As Việt Nam pursues its vision of becoming a developed nation anchored in green growth, Nestlé stands as a strategic partner. We ensure that every aspect of our business aligns with social responsibility, environmental protection and the country’s broader sustainable future,” he said.
Believing that sustainable development can only be achieved when businesses of all sizes are empowered to participate, Nestlé Việt Nam has strengthened its own ESG performance and actively promoted good practices across the wider business community.
Through co-operation with the Việt Nam Business Council for Sustainable Development and various partners, the company has organised training programmes, ESG knowledge-sharing sessions, regulatory updates and experience-exchange activities for the CSI 100 group and enterprises within its supply chain. These initiatives aim to boost competitiveness, support integration into global value chains and contribute to Việt Nam’s sustainable development objectives.
Over more than three decades in Việt Nam, Nestlé has remained committed to its Creating Shared Value philosophy, pairing expanded investment and economic contributions with multi-stakeholder collaboration. By aligning business strategies with national priorities, the company has shown that responsible long-term investment can deliver benefits for both business and society, reinforcing its role as a committed partner in Việt Nam’s sustainable development journey. — VNS
