LÂM ĐỒNG — Products by the Lâm Đồng Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Ladophar) have been certified as meeting the requirements of Islamic law and awarded a Halal certificate.
The GSO 2055-1:2015 Halal certification proves that a company has met the standard for general requirements for Halal, which covers the criteria needed at all stages of Halal production, from receiving, preparation, packaging, labelling, handling, to transportation, distributing, storage, display and for the final offering of food.
The certification is valid for three years, giving Ladophar the opportunity to get as many exports into Islamic countries as possible.
Headquartered in Đà Lạt City, Lâm Đồng Province, Ladophar has produced herbal tea and food products since 1982. The company's long-term goal is to distribute its specialty artichoke products and high-quality herbal teas worldwide.
To meet the Islamic requirements, the company has applied international standards from raw materials to production processes and finished products.
With the Halal certificate, Ladophar plans to export its first batch of products to Malaysia, Indonesia, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar next year.
The document also improves the company’s opportunities to collaborate with countries that have free trade agreements (FTAs) with Việt Nam. — VNS
