HCM CITY – CTI Group Worldwide Services, Inc and Viet Dragon Group on Friday launched CTI Việt Nam which will offer training and proding human resource in the marine tourism sector.

The company’s office on Friday opened in District 4 of HCM City, becoming the seventh office of the CTI Group in the region, which includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand.

CTI Việt Nam plans to train and supply at least 1,000 employees to work on international tourism vessels, including the five-star Carnival cruise ships with a capacity of 6,000 people each.

The first recruitment will begin on April 14.

Thana Taprasert, CEO of CTI Việt Nam, said the demand for human resources in marine tourism was very high and continued to increase.

He said that Vietnamese workers were skilled but lacked some knowledge, including foreign languages, and would need to be trained.

The training would last from two to three months.
