Six arrested for alleged plot to overthrowing gov’t

The Investigation Security Agency under the Ministry of Public Security yesterday decided to prosecute six people charged with planning to overthrow the administration in Hà Nội and some other localities.

HÀ NỘI — The Investigation Security Agency under the Ministry of Public Security yesterday decided to prosecute six people charged with planning to overthrow the administration in Hà Nội and some other localities. 

The agency commenced legal proceedings against 48-year-old Nguyễn Văn Đài, the alleged instigator and Lê Thu Hà, 35, both residing in Hà Nội’s Hai Bà Trưng District.

Four other suspects who have been arrested for investigation are Phạm Văn Trội, 45, from Chương Dương Commune, Thường Tín District; Nguyễn Trung Tôn, 45, from Quảng Xương District of Thanh Hóa Province and Trương Minh Đức, 57, and Nguyễn Bắc Truyển, 49, both from HCM City. 

Đài and his accomplices were arrested on charges of “trying to overthrow the People’s administration” under Article 79 of the Penal Code. — VNS
