Việt Nam win silver medal at Chungju World Martial Arts event

It was the second medal for Việt Nam in this tournament.

 

HÀ NỘI Vietnamese duo Hứa Văn Huy and Châu Tuyết Vân won silver at the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships in South Korea yesterday.

Huy and Vân came second in the taekwondo freestyle poomsae mixed pair. The gold medal came to the hosts while Thailand and the Philippines shared third place.

It was the second medal for Việt Nam in this tournament.

On Sunday Vân and two teammates -- Nguyễn Thị Lệ Kim and Nguyễn Thị Mộng Quỳnh and – won the women’s team freestyle poomsae.

The World Martial Arts Masterships is an international martial arts mega event held from August 30 to September 6 in Chungju City.

About 3,500 martial artists and officials from 106 countries and territories are taking part in the competition. There are 271 sets of medals for 20 sports such as wrestling, judo, taekwondo, aikido, muay thai and pencak silat up for grabs. VNS
