HÀ NỘI — Nghệ An triumphed at the National Beach Sepak Takraw Championship which concluded in the central province of Nghệ An over the weekend.

The team brought home two gold medals in the women’s trio and women's team of four as well as two bronze medals in the men’s and women’s fours.

Sóc Trăng and HCM City finished runners-up.

The six-day event attracted the participation of 100 players from nine teams across the country including Quảng Ninh, Bắc Giang and Yên Bái.

The event was a warm-up for the Vietnamese players to prepare for the 30th Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines later this year. — VNS
