HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s men’s beach soccer team defeat host Indonesia in the second round of ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) beach soccer championships 2018 on Monday in Bali, Indonesia.

Although they faced pressure from host country’s fans and physical team, Việt Nam’s players remained calm in the first 12-minute period.

In the second period, Việt Nam’s successful counter-attack led to the opening goal by Bùi Trần Tuấn Anh.

However, Indonesia quickly evened the score to 1-1, and soon scored again.

In the third period, Trần Vĩnh Phong balanced the score at 2-2 before Phan Đạt finalised the score at 3-2.

After two wins, Việt Nam sit top of the table. They will meet Thailand in the next match on November 21 and Timor-Leste on November 23.

The tournament has a total of five teams. — VNS
