Việt Nam win seven medals at world taekwondo champs

Việt Nam’s national taekwondo team bagged seven medals at the 11th World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships that concluded on Sunday in Chinese Taipei.

HÀ NỘI —  Việt Nam’s national taekwondo team bagged seven medals at the 11th World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships that concluded on Sunday in Chinese Taipei.

The team won three silver and four bronze medals at this year’s tournament.

The tournament attracts 1,274 martial artists from 59 countries and territories, competing in 28 categories.

The silvers went to Phạm Quốc Việt in the boys’ singles U17, Trần Hồ Duy and Châu Ngọc Tuyết Sang in the boys’ doubles U17, and Châu Tuyết Vân - Nguyễn Thị Lệ Kim - Nguyễn Thiên Phụng - Lê Thanh Trung - Hứa Văn Huy in the boy’s team event.

The bronze medals went to Nguyễn Thị Mộng Quỳnh in the girls’ singles; Châu Ngọc Tuyết Sang - Lê Ngọc Hân - Nguyễn Thanh Hiền Linh in the girls’ team U14; Lê Trần Kim Uyên - Nguyễn Phan Khánh Hân - Nguyễn Ngọc Minh Hy - Trần Đăng Khoa in boy’s team U17; and Nguyễn Đình Khôi in the boys’ singles over 17.

Hosts Chinese Taipei won the tournament with 25 gold medals. — VNS
