Chiến and Nại enter finals of South Korea Survival Masters

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s top billiard players Trần Quyết Chiến and Ngô Đình Nại progressed to the finals of the Carom Billiard 3CC Survival Masters, held on Thursday in South Korea.

The duo beat top players Marco Zanetti from Italy and Kang Dong Koong from host South Korea, winning tickets to the playoffs to decide who will be champion.

The tournament is being held from November 8 to 11, attracting 22 top players from around the world and two exceptional players from the host country.

In the first round, Chiến played first and achieved a total score of 48, Zanetti got 32, Nại 20 and Kang 20. Thanks to Chiến’s points advantage, Nại managed to top the table with 70 points.

In the second round Nại moved first, getting over 100 points, while Chiến reached 58 points, and Zanetti got 46 points.

As the game came to a close, Zanetti got more chances but only scored 52 points, Kang got 20 points, while Nại collected 112 points and Chiến got 56 points.

After the event concludes, 25 top players from Việt Nam will head to South Korea to compete in the Three-Cushion World Cup 2018, held from November 12 to 18. — VNS
