Việt Nam’s golfers have eyes set on WAGC 2018

Việt Nam’s national golf team has set its sights on winning the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) 2018 in Malaysia this week.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s national golf team has set its sights on winning the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) 2018 in Malaysia this week.

The team’s 10 players, who made the final of Vinpearl WAGC Vietnam 2018, will compete in official and guest rounds.

Hoàng Quân, Nguyễn Văn Long, Lê Thanh Minh, Mai Đăng Khoa and Phạm Quốc Thương and amateur golfers Nguyễn Đoàn Văn Nam, Nguyễn Văn Tám, Cao Việt Hồng, Hoàng Trọng Hải, and Vũ Ngọc Sinh will form the team.

Quân, who is the most experienced player on the team, will compete in Group A. Meanwhile, Long compete in Group B, Minh in Group C and Khoa and Thương in Group E.

At present, Vinpearl Golf has four international standard golf courses at Vũ Yên (Hải Phòng), South Hội An (Quảng Nam), Hòn Tre (Nha Trang) and Phú Quốc, designed by IMG Worldwide. — VNS
